Three small sub-watersheds in the Root River watershed were selected for the Field to Stream study. Each watershed is less the 5,000 acres and located within the glacial till, karst, and bluffland landscapes. The strategic selection of these watersheds allows direct application to a large geographic area spanning much of southeast Minnesota.
