Lots of exciting talks, posters, and keynotes at the International Digital Curation Conference (IDCC) 2020 this week in Dublin…and the DCN was well represented!

Curators Share their Research

Susan Borda presented her work with the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology on storing and sharing vertebrate data. Slides at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3667733.

Dave Fearon presented services developed at Johns Hopkins for identifying human subjects disclosure risk in shared data. Slides at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3688674.

Our DCN Poster Attracts International Interest

Lisa Johnston and Mara Blake presented a poster offering preliminary metrics on the first 114 datasets curated in the DCN. At the networking session we spoke to several international colleagues, including the Dutch Data Curation Network who were inspired by our approach (see their talk!) or libraries in Sweden and Denmark who are developing networks for supporting related data services. We would love to explore national data curation networks at a future conference session together!
